District Grants

District grants offer clubs and districts flexibility in carrying out activities that support the Foundation's mission. Districts are encouraged to distribute these grant funds for relatively short-term activities, either local or international.

Districts can request up to 50 percent of their District Designated Fund (DDF) in one annual block grant. The District SHARE Committee shall determine the allocation of District Grant Funds between:

  • local and international humanitarian projects
  • scholarships
  • vocational training opportunities
  • and disaster relief

DISTRICT GRANT EXAMPLES
Here are some examples of projects to District Grant Supported Project Summary Reports:

District Grant applications may be filled out on the DaCdb, under the ‘Grants’ tab.

If you have questions about your application, ask by clicking here.

Requirements/Process

  • A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) must be submitted for each club, preferably by December, 2017

  • All applications must be filled out on the DaCdb and may be found by signing into the DaCdb and clicking on the ‘Grants’ tab. You must be an officer or Foundation Chair to fill out the grant application. All grants must be submitted NO LATER THAN April 30th of the current Rotary year for the next year’s grant

  • A club may only be the HOST club for one grant, but may be a partnering club on other grants

  • If more funds are requested of the district than are available, a ‘points value’ format will be used. (Selection Criteria Document hotlink)
  • A Final Report must be submitted to the district within one month of project completion but no later than April 30th of the project’s Rotary Year
